Becky & Jon

Becky and Jon had a perfect summer day for the wedding in the beginning of June. Their wedding was held at The Brickyard on Main in the heart of downtown Marion, OH which featured beautiful brick background everywhere you turned and a simple, yet, stunning courtyard for their ceremony.

Their wedding party was filled with the sweetest individuals and they all love dancing and getting silly which made wedding party photos an absolute blast. Jon is Jewish so his dad officiated the ceremony and they threw in a few aspects of their religion in the ceremony such as stomping on a glass bulb once the ceremony was over. Their reception was not only filled with amazing people who were so happy to celebrate Becky & Jon on their big day, but was also filled with yummy food and the most delicious cookies.

Becky & Jon played Hava Nagila, which, if you don't know is a traditional Jewish filk song that is played at celebrations meaning "Let Us Rejoice" . During this folk song the guests perform the Hora which is a traditional dance where everyone holds hands and dances in a circle. The bride and groom sit in wooden chairs in the middle of the dance floor so they can be picked up while everyone dances around them. This symbolizes their union and traditionally the couple is each holding one end of a napkin to keep them together. It's truly one of my absolute favorite parts of every Jewish wedding I've photographed.

We snuck off during the reception for a few fun couples 'sunset' photos and found the CUTEST vine wall and I was absolutely obsessed with it even more when there was this little blue door in the middle of the wall.

All in all, it was such a perfect wedding day and we're so honored to have been chosen to document such an important event for these two.
